Seattle Birth Photography and Videography
Serving the Greater Seattle Area

For 9 months you’ve waited and prepared for this moment.

You won’t want to forget it.

Hey there, I'm Morgan, the proud visual storyteller behind Morgan Petroski Photography, where I'm all about capturing the magic of childbirth right here in Seattle. As your birth photographer, I'm here to document your journey with authenticity and heart, preserving those raw, fleeting moments that make it all so unforgettable.

I document each birth story as it unfolds, from active labor, to birth, and through those first early newborn hours afterwards when it seems like the entire world has stopped spinning and nothing else matters except this new little person in your life.

Birth is a transformative and powerful experience. To see your birth story from another perspective allows you to not only process it afterwards but it also allows your child to be witness to their own birth story years down the road.

Home birth, birth center birth, or hospital birth, I support your decision to birth where and how you choose.

Client Love

“I knew I wanted birth photography from the time I was pregnant with my third, but she was a pandemic baby so birth photography wasn't in the cards then. When I became pregnant with my fourth child I knew immediately I wanted to book Morgan for birth photography. Through meeting with her I landed on the package that would work best for our family, including a maternity family session beforehand and a newborn session afterward. I ended up having a tougher pregnancy than I had expected, with some health issues throughout, and I am a person who struggles with anxiety. Morgan was so supportive throughout all of this, and was flexible with our schedule while still making sure that we got our sessions done, and this helped me to enjoy the bright spots in my pregnancy even with those unexpected stressors. Now, I look back on that time with such a full heart, and I have amazing photos so that I can dwell in that joy whenever I look at the photos (or even think about them!).

Our birth photography experience was so incredible - Morgan went above and beyond to make sure she was there at the perfect time, and documented every part of the experience.

It was so special for my husband and me to have the experience of welcoming our last baby documented in that way. Morgan stayed with us so that she could capture my older son meeting his brother for the first time. Overall, Morgan empowered me to feel like my best self during my labor and delivery and she captured this moment in my motherhood in a way that is representative of my whole journey of motherhood, and all those countless moments that disappear even as they're happening when you're in the chaos of raising young kids. I was so happy that we had set up a newborn session and since we have four kids she made sure we scheduled this at a time when we could get pictures of our whole family together - something that is rare and precious with there being so many of us. That was really the perfect bookend to the whole experience of our birth photography journey. One of my most cherished life experiences and we are so so glad and grateful for Morgan.” - Courtney

F.A.Q.S

  • When should I book you for birth services?
Ideally once you know your estimated due date! I only take 2-3 birth clients per month at the moment so securing your spot in advance is highly recommended.

  • How does booking work?
You contact me via the form below, I check my calendar to make sure I still have availability for your due date and then we have a quick virtual chat to make sure I’m a good fit for your birth space. After our chat, when you’re ready to book, I’ll send over your contract and invoice. I ask for a $500 retainer when you sign your contract to hold your spot on my calendar. The remainder of your fee is due by 37 weeks, one week before I go on call for you.

  • Do you offer any discounts?
I do! We can discuss this more during your free consult and I can also create a custom payment plan if needed. I can also help you add Birth Photography to your BabyList registry so family and friends can help pay for your birth photography that means so much to you.

  • What happens if I am planning an out of hospital birth and have to be transferred to a hospital?
As your birth photographer, if you are transferring from a home birth or birth center birth I would be happy to join you in the hospital to continue telling your birth story. As someone who had a last minute transfer myself, I know first hand that having such a big change of plans can be very emotional and having the support of your birth team with you can make a huge difference in your birth experience and processing it afterwards.

  • What happens if you have an emergency and can’t make it to my birth?

In the case of emergency or sickness I would send a back-up birth photographer that I trust. I would make sure you are covered no matter what and have the photos you want.
